Octant

Pronunciation: /ˈɒkt.ənt/ Explain

An octant is one of the eight regions into which a three dimensional rectangular coordinate system is divided by the x, y, and z planes. The octant where x, y and z are positive is called the first octant. The other seven octants are not named.
